Met up and spent some time with an old student of mine from 1979 and Robert College Community School in Istanbul Turkey. Erol Yalim was always a wonderful pianist and now spends his days giving lessons in Ft Lauderdale. Part of the tour today was the International Swimming Hall of Fame.========================

Went to see Big River today at the Alhambra Dinner Theater. Great meal and wonderful production for $20. Such a deal.---------------------------------------------------------

So we've discovered this new way of meeting people called meet-ups and you can get into it at meetup.com Tonight we went to a board game meet-up and had a good time though learning complicated board games can be a bit challenging for an old timer. First off, Key West is just as cool as you've heard---Walked Duval street, 1 mile, 3 times. Thousands of people only 2 cops total and not a wiff of marijuana. And when you go through Key Largo, you have to ride the African Queen, though we weren't prepared for how small it was.

Took Reed and Jade to see Frank Sinatra Jr. Last night. It was OK. This morning I found this on Crescendo Amelia's Facebook page.

Called Reed and he said his gig went well Saturday night. We're planning on going to see Frank Sinatra Jr. Wednesday night but he's got to get out of work to go. ___________________________________________________________________________ Went to Savannah Ga yesterday. Saw Ft King George along the way. Today saw Ft Caroline which was an early French Ft before the Spaniards attacked and killed everybody.

Remaining Interesting

Let's see. Where shall I begin. Girlfriend and best friend made a dramatic turnaround and is now here. We went to Reed's gig at Sandy Bottom last night and I was real popular being that I was Reed's dad. Obviously he was the hit of the show. Monday night midnight, the police called and said they had found my car. AND I called Geico and it looks like I am covered for theft even though I only thought I had liability. Car does need some minor repairs and I did fix the problem of the key being stuck in the ignition but I did have to get a new ignition - $160. Geico has been great though and paid for a rental. But the most hilarious thing about the car is we cleaned it out yesterday and the thieves left a bunch of stuff. Basketball (cruddy), BB shoes, jacket, sweatshirt ANDDDDDDD, get this, a credit card. They had filled the car up with gas and dropped the credit card on the floor. I sure would like to know what the situation was of the cops finding it. Turned the stuff and credit card over to Jacksonville PD.
